For the last week we have been reading and looking at what makes Jan Brett such an interesting and creative author and illustrator.  We will spend this week reading and looking at her books and comparing and contrasting them.  Starting next week we will be planning and creating our own Jan Brett style books.  These books will be a finished and published piece of writing and the students will also be illustrating their stories.  The final product will be due no later than May 17th.

About Me

I have been working at Cresson Elementary now for 7 years. I started here teaching the 4th grade for three years and then moved to 3rd grade. I grew up in Montrose, Colorado and graduated from Western State College in Gunnison, Colordo.
I received my Masters of Science in Reading and Literacy from Walden University in 2007.
I love our school and all of the students that have been a part of my experience here.
